INSTALLATION

Insert the CD-ROM and installation will start automatically. If this is not the case, open
the SETUP.EXE file from the CD-ROM.

Select the components to be installed.

Depending on the type of connection used between PC and device (USB), additional drivers may
have to be installed. Suitable drivers are contained on the CD-ROM or they can be downloaded
from the SAMSON website at www.samson.de in the Services / Software section.
A USB driver for the isolated USB interface adapter (for Type 373x-x) and the SAMSON devices
with USB port (TROVIS 6495-2 and TROVIS 5610) has been integrated into the TROVIS-VIEW
installation file in TROVIS-VIEW version 4.42 and later. This driver is installed automatically
when installing TROVIS-VIEW under Windows 8 and later.

For further information on operating the devices, go to the ? menu in TROVIS-VIEW. Additional
information is also contained in the INFO and TOOLS folders on the CD-ROM.

SOFTWARE UPDATES

Updated versions of TROVIS-VIEW will become available as we are constantly developing the software
further. The latest version of TROVIS-VIEW can always be downloaded from the SAMSON website at
www.samson.de in the Services / Software section.

USER LEVELS AND PASSWORDS

In TROVIS-VIEW, user rights are managed in password-protected user levels (Device menu, User Level).
Select a user level and enter the associated password, if applicable. This prevents device data
from being changed unintentionally or without authorization. The following list contains all user
levels and the associated passwords. The passwords are also contained in the mounting and operating
instructions of the devices. Passwords are case sensitive.
