Steam and Condensate Technology
Process stability is decided at the interface
Steam and condensate technology is the heart of many industrial processes – from power generation and chemical processes to modern heating systems. It uses the special properties of water, which in different states of aggregation can transport and release enormous amounts of energy.
With intelligent steam and condensate technology, energy losses can be minimized, operating costs reduced, and processes sustainably optimized.
Type 7110 Saturated Steam Generator (Water Bath Cooler)
The Type 7110 Water Bath Cooler represents the only technical solution for safely generating saturated steam from superheated steam.
Characteristic features:
- Cooling of superheated steam to saturated steam temperature
- Highly precise and fast temperature control (< 0.1 K in steady-state operation)
- Control range of the steam mass flow from 0 to 100 %
- No run-out section required
- No superheated steam breakthrough even during high load changes
Type 7115 Spray Nozzle
By using spray desuperheaters such as the Type 7115 Spray Nozzle, maximum cooling of the steam to approx. 5 to 10 °C above the saturated steam temperature is possible.
Characteristic features:
- Cooling of superheated steam to approx. 5 to 10 °C above saturated steam temperature
- Reduction of superheat before entering heat exchangers
- Reduction of superheat when a product is directly impinged with steam
- Use as a turbine bypass for small and medium-sized power plants in combination with SAMSON valves
Type 7116 Steam Conditioning Unit
Temperature control by injecting cooling water into superheated steam. Equipped with precise control valves (e.g., Type 3241) and temperature sensors. In order to ensure effective cooling of the steam and to take all safety-relevant aspects into account (SIL), we recommend obtaining the complete solution Type 7116 Steam Conditioning Unit from a single source.

Steam and Condensate
Steam is generated when water is heated to its boiling point. In industry, it serves as a powerful energy carrier: it can be distributed efficiently, has a high heat capacity, and enables precise temperature control in complex processes.
Condensate is formed when steam turns back into water – a process that is not only unavoidable but also valuable. The recovered condensate contains usable thermal energy, which in modern systems is efficiently returned and reused.
